Navigating Open Meetings Laws During COVID-19

Join us on June 26 at 1PM-2PM EST for a webinar covering: the shortcomings of the legal framework for engagement; model ordinances and other measures for updating or clarifying the laws; current and coming technologies for engagement that the legal frameworks will need to govern; and emerging successful strategies for engagement, both online and face-to-face, that communities should consider in their attempts to strengthen the relationship between citizens and government.

Featuring a panel presentation with:
  • Lisa Blomgren Amsler, Keller-Runden Professor of Public Service, O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University, and co-author of Making Public Participation Legal
  • Abhi Nemani, EthosLabs, former Chief Data Officer for the City of Los Angeles
  • James Malloy, Town Manager, Lexington, Massachusetts

Moderated by Matt Leighninger, Vice President for Public Engagement and Director of the Yankelovich Center for Public Judgment at Public Agenda. Presented in partnership with ICMA and Cities of Service.
